Winter 2016

Kendra’s Legacy Foundation provided funding for flu vaccinations in 2016 to the following:

  • Southwest Boulevard Family Health Clinic, Kansas City, KS
  • The Osborne County Health Department, Osborne, KS
  • The Norton County Health Department, Norton, KS
  • Micah Ministries, Kansas City, MO

During the month of September, 2016, the Foundation co-sponsored, with TriCentury Bank, a flu clinic at TriCentury Bank’s location in De Soto, Kansas.

Lastly, the Foundation partnered with Healthy Solutions, Inc., of Overland Park, Kansas, and conducted two flu clinics in the Shawnee Mission School District. We successfully vaccinated 25% of the student population at Shawanoe Elementary School, Shawnee, Kansas and 20% of the student population at Rosehill Elementary School, Lenexa, Kansas.

Donations were made to Families Fighting Flu (FFF), a national, non-profit organization dedicated to educating the public about the dangers of the flu and comprised mainly of families who have lost a child or had a child become seriously ill due to the flu.

Kendra’s Legacy Foundation also donated funds in 2016 to While We Were Waiting (WWW), a non-profit organization which sponsors faith-based retreats for grieving parents. See www.whilewerewaiting.org.

Fall 2015

Kendra’s Legacy Foundation provided funding for flu vaccinations at the following locations during the Fall, 2015:

  • K. C. Care Clinic, Kansas City, MO
  • The Osborne County Health Department, Osborne, KS
  • The Norton County Health Department, Norton, KS

During the month of September, 2015, the Foundation co-sponsored, with TriCentury Bank, flu clinics at TriCentury Bank’s locations in De Soto, Kansas and Spring Hill, Kansas.

Kendra’s Legacy Foundation also sponsored flu clinics at Our Lady of Unity Parish in Kansas City, Kansas and at Micah Ministries, Kansas City, Missouri.

Lastly, the Foundation partnered with Healthy Solutions, Inc., of Overland Park, Kansas, and conducted our first flu clinic in the Shawnee Mission School District. We are happy to report approximately 25% of the students at Shawanoe Elementary School, Shawnee, Kansas, were vaccinated.

Kendra’s Legacy Foundation provided funding for flu vaccinations at the following locations this fall:

  • K. C. Care Clinic, Kansas City, MO
  • Samuel Rodgers Health Center, Kansas City, MO
  • The Norton County Health Department, Norton, KS

On September 14, 2014, the Foundation sponsored a Flu Clinic at Our Lady of Unity Parish in Kansas City, Kansas. Flu vaccinations were also given at the Health Fair sponsored by the Osborne County Health Department, Osborne, Kansas, October 7, 2014.

Donations have also been made to the Families Fighting Flu (FFF) organization, to aid in their “Stay in the Game” promotion. This new educational campaign was designed to educate parents and educators about the seriousness of the flu and the importance of annual vaccinations. FFF this year launched all new collateral materials for schools, doctor’s offices, and the general community and also created a new national TV public service announcement which is currently airing across the country.
